SMMEs are major contributors to the local economy especially in terms of job creation and poverty alleviation. In order to succeed however, these SMMEs need to be equipped with the necessary skills to understand and manage their business’ finances effectively.
Last week, Eastern Cape based SMEs who form part of the Eskom Enterprise and Supplier Development programme managed by NGM, attended a hands-on workshop focussed on financial management. The workshop forms part of the NGM hybrid incubator programme which is aimed at creating successful, sustainable entrepreneurs.
Brenda Kruger, Project Manager at Eskom Development Foundation, attended the event and commented: “It is always so encouraging to see the SMEs from Kouga commitment to the programme, their dedication will ensure their growth which will be a testament to the success of this programme which Eskom has invested in.”
